Kainaat's family are from Pakistan. She was born and bred in HK and is studying Nursing at HKU. She is working on multi-lingual resources to help doctors and patients communicate with each other. Kainaat speaks fluent Cantonese. She thanks her middle school teacher for stressing to her the importance of learning Cantonese. She says she used Cantonese songs and TV dramas to make Chinese learning more fun and increase her fluency.
